Description

INSPIRATION FOR THE ORIGINAL SERIES THE LINCOLN LAWYER – THE #1 TV SHOW ON NETFLIX

Defense attorney Mickey Haller and Detective Harry Bosch must either work together or die as they investigate a Hollywood lawyer's murder in this "epic page-turner" (Library Journal).   Things are finally looking up for defense attorney Mickey Haller. After two years of wrong turns, Haller is back in the courtroom. When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover. But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next.

Enter Harry Bosch. Determined to find Vincent's killer, he is not opposed to using Haller as bait. But as danger mounts and the stakes rise, these two loners realize their only choice is to work together.

I felt like every book before this one was starting to become a repeat, but at the same time got to know Bosch's character better. My interest was waning until this book. I was confused to begin with since it wasn't the typical Bosch story, but at the same time I was excited - BECAUSE - it wasn't the same Bosch story. The end totally blew me me away!! Thank you Michael, I'm still behind about a decade at this point, but I hope to experience more of the same! (ps - I am conflicted with the televised series... mixes a lot up, watched 3 episodes and may watch in the future... I prefer to stick to the books... the actor selected doesn't fit my image of Bosch (no disrespect ;-), and the timeline messes w/ my mind. But I'm generally either the books or the series type person - not both - since you can't measure one vs the other.
  • Mickey Haller is not for me...

I'm not impressed. Maybe it's because I'm bias as Harry is not the main character so this is just my opinion. I can't wait to go back to read the next Harry Bosch series.
