In the vein of The Time Traveler’s Wife and Life After Life, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is New York Times bestselling author V. E. Schwab’s genre-defying tour de force.

A Life No One Will Remember. A Story You Will Never Forget.

France, 1714: in a moment of desperation, a young woman makes a Faustian bargain to live forever—and is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets.

Thus begins the extraordinary life of Addie LaRue, and a dazzling adventure that will play out across centuries and continents, across history and art, as a young woman learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world.

But everything changes when, after nearly 300 years, Addie stumbles across a young man in a hidden bookstore and he remembers her name.

Left me in tears, wishing there were more pages to be read. If only I could read it again for the first time.

You don’t realize until you come across a book like this how much you’ve been missing out on truly good writing. The grammar, sentence structures, descriptions are all so very rich. And to mix this with a wonderful story is quite the treat. So a big thank you to the author. It’s been a pleasure to read your book.

I forced myself to read half od of this book only because of the number of positive reviews. I am baffled. There seems to be no point to the story, assuming you can find a story. Don’t waste your money!!
  • Great book, different, unpredictable, a great love story !

Great book ! It takes you through times of the past, historical moments but is a love story. Love the author’s way of keeping the story flowing !

What do I read after something so... well put together? So well thought out? This book is amazingly hard to put down.
  • Not a page turner...

Very late connection between past and future...kept waiting on plot and it never evolved. How can any reader enjoy someone falling for the devil.
  • Excellent Read

Loved it! I would love to see this made into a TV series— but handle with care if you dare to take up the mantle, because Addie deserves the best 🖤

Great story and very touching. Makes you think about love... loss and time... and how little of it, there really is.
